Do you use Microsoft Word? Something else? Tell us what word processor you use when you're writing your stories! Barring any outstanding factor, is that the software you'd prefer to use (if cost wasn't a factor)?

I have tried using Scrivener, which is a word processor made for writers, but I found it had too many bells and whistles for what I was looking for. I have also used OpenOffice, when I didn't have enough for Microsoft Word. It is a solid software for somebody on a budget. Currently though, I have been using Microsoft Word, as it remains one of the best on the market. I am a naturally curious person when it comes to this sort of thing though, which means I will likely experiment with others over time.

I have Scrivener, and I've also tried a couple different ones. Scrivener has a few too many bells and whistles and is a bit too customizable and noobs get lost in it. But once you find the right template it's not bad.

One day, I may try to return to it. In general, I know it is something I probably should do. I am not as organized as I should be, and so, I might try to fix that. Something else is, I find Microsoft Word has a lot of ways it can be manipulated as well (I am very partial to using tables, etc. for information).
