That's A LOT of Star Wars. I don't know what to make of it all, personally. Glad Daisy's coming back.

I also like Daisy.

I'm not a major fan of Star Wars, but I'm at least modestly interested. Them being broke free from the Episodic formula will likely be to their benefit. The only worry I would have is about whether each story can feel self-contained (not incremental / segmented like more recent Marvel fare).

I wonder how many of these will actually come to fruition. When Marvel announces a slate of films in-production, usually they come out. The only instances I can think of are that Inhumans film that never came out (but didn't they do a TV series of some kind for it?). Star Wars doesn't have that proven track record. Maybe all of these come out or none of them do, or just a handful. I remember Patty Jenkins was set to direct a Rogue Squadron film.

Either way, I'll watch them. I don't know if they'll pull me in a whole bunch, but I'll watch them. I like Star Wars, warts and all.

It was to be expected. I won't really have anything to say on them until I see them, really. Some might be good, some bad. It depends on the director, writer, and cast involved.

It has potential, in telling a 9-episode saga in the similar way the original nine-lology (sp?) was planned. But the problem is the time gap was so great between each trilogy, only the "common aesthetics" and "it's all Star Wars" will tie them together. Given the prequel and the final three Star Wars movies had been handled I don't have high hopes, but I am willing to change my mind.

I think the franchise did a good job in continuing to build upon existing IP, letting the new series be continuation of Star Wars: Rebels, and other continuations, and actually bringing Heirs to the Empire to screen as official canon, but I am NOT quite as certain about them going into lore CREATION territory.

I was not a fan of Daisy or her character, Rey. She skipped everything that made the original trilogy great, she was just instantly amazing with her force abilities and didn't have to undergo any of the struggle or inner turmoil that made Luke so appealing. I'm not optimistic, despite being a big fan of Star Wars as a property.

I liked the relationship between Kylo and Rey. Then again, I also liked Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi film, and I know everyone seemed to have a big issue with that. I think it helps that I don't have much attachment to the Star Wars franchise. The original Trilogy I like but don't love and I have an apathy toward the Prequels (I like 3, but mostly dislike 1 and 2 - mostly 1). The Sequel Trilogy was alright (I liked Last Jedi, was fine with Awakens, and disliked Skywalker).

I really love that Jedi videogame they released a couple years back (and a sequel comes out soon!).
