I am super psyched about this film. As far as directors are concerned, I would say it comes down to Martin Scorsese and David Fincher for me as far as favorites ever.
Loved Aviator.
Loved Wolf of Wall Street.
Loved The Departed.
Loved The Irishman.
Only other ones I've seen of his are Goodfellas (liked a fair bit, but isn't a personal favorite), Shutter Island, Hugo, and Cape Fear. I say this because I look at him so highly in spite never seeing arguably the work he is most known for (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, etc.).
I need to sit down one of these days and binge through everything he has done, just haven't had the time.
This film has been in development a good bit - I know vaguely the idea of what it's about, but I intentionally am trying to keep it vague since I'm already sold by it.
