I am hoping that Ballerina film is at least halfway decent and The Continental is alright, because that'd kickstart a decent little offshoot action universe for us. So far, John Wick hasn't missed. Ballerina and The Continental are the real test. I have no doubt they'd ace a fifth John Wick no problem. It's when they switch to new directors / new approaches that they will really see if it has legs to stand on its own or if it is better suited as a Wick-centric 'thing'.

The John Wick movies are fun, so I am alright with that. Keanu Reeves will never be mistaken as a powerhouse actor, but he is wonderful in these types of role. Like @Iroquois said, I would like to see them expand on it, and am hopeful it actually "can" expand. As much as it sounds like a good idea, I am sure we can all agree there is a million ways it could also fail. If Ballerina underperforms and the Continental underperforms, that will spell out its doom, and they will simply be forgotten side-projects (like The Curse of La Llorona is to the Conjuring universe). However, if Ballerina performs even close to John Wick, and, say, they ever crossover Atomic Blonde with John Wick, we might actually see something pretty special.
