Although it feels a little awkward to write (especially since the website is closed at this moment and so I am writing to almost nobody at all), I felt it was appropriate to write my own introduction for Dustjacket.
My name's Nicholas "Nick" McConnaughay and I am a writer and the co-founder of Dustjacket Social and Mishmashers Publishing. Consider Mishmashers Publishing as the sister-company of Dustjacket, if you want - when Dustjacket makes anything, say an Anthology or release, it will ultimately be through Mishmashers Publishing. I have written about a dozen stories which can be found on Amazon here.
I have loved forums ever since I was a wee lad and I have loved storytelling of all sorts for as long as I can remember it. Generally, I would consider myself a movie-fan, first and foremost, but I believe that I have evolved beyond that. I love television and how it provides longform storytelling and I love the immersion videogames can provide (and would argue that, when it's done well, like, really well, it's the best medium for storytelling), and, of course, I love the personal, intimate nature of literature.
I look forward to meeting and talking with all of you,
I'm a friendly enough chap so feel free to hit me up if you ever want to chat.
Cheers,
Nick
