I am uncertain how I will feel about the lasting ramifications for Xbox Game Pass hereafter. We always said that streaming services' ran the risk of becoming the "new cable," and while I still don't believe we are there yet, I can see us inch closer to it every year when a new streaming service is added to the docket and the services we do have add a dollar or two to their monthly subscription. It'll add up someday or become an inconvenience I don't want to contend with (for many, it already has).
As for now though, I love Xbox Game Pass. For years, I have added videogames to my queue and then, never went back and played them, this, instead, allows a wide-variety of those impulse-buys wedged into a more palatable subscription. This last six months alone they have added Atomic Heart, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Hi-Fi Rush, Gungrave, Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 to their subscription. I am paying about 10-something a month (or whatever the subscription cost is), whereas I could have feasibly seen me pay in excess of one-hundred bucks to procure each of those titles (I likely wouldn't have bought on launch) and who knows which ones I would have played or enjoyed.
