What are your thoughts on the True Detective series? Do you have any thoughts beyond Season 1? Are you excited for the new season?

What were your thoughts on the newer seasons? Did you ever watch them?

I know Vince Vaughn was in one of them, which made me half-interested, simply because I always find it interesting to see a comedic actor flex their acting chops in a drama.

I watched the first season - it was good shit!

Haven't ever been able to fight through and see the rest of them. I am curious if any of you think they are worth it.

I always tell myself that I will watch it. A lot of the struggle will be trying to make my wife stay engaged with it. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of True Detective, but she wasn't as hooked. My thought is ... if you didn't like that True Detective, what hope does the rest of the series have?

Truth is, while I doubt it will hit that high, I betcha if I watched it I would still find something to enjoy about it. I am a sucker for the genre, and I have had a craving for it ever since Mind Hunter was canceled.
