After the successful release of Resident Evil 4, following the successful release(s) of Resident Evil 2 and 3, do you think they will do remakes of Resident Evil 5 and 6? Should they? What were your thoughts on the original games / do you think they could be improved?

A lot of me wants to go with the age-old response of, "I'd rather Capcom apply themselves to new stories than returning to the well again and again." However, at the same time, I find myself also thinking, "My god, Resident Evil 5 was ugly." That sepia color-tint? The way they handled the split-screen in local coop?

Both Resident Evil 5 and 6 were plenty flawed, but ultimately enjoyable. I beat Resident Evil 5 in one-sitting with a friend when I was in high school. Resident Evil 6 took a lot of elements from 4 and 5 and more-or-less combined them, amounting to a bloated, sort-of disjointed experience overall. Could they improve them? Absolutely! Should they? I wouldn't hate that, but I would prefer if they made new ones if I was offered a choice.

Either that, or we should remake Operation Code Veronica. Resident Evil 5 and 6 are more "up-to-code," as far as modern Resident Evil game-play is concerned (not counting 7 and 8), but Code Veronica is an experience that could really use spruced up.

A Code Veronica remake could be cool.

After the aftermath of Resident Evil 4 (without spoiling it), I think we can more or less guarantee they will be remaking Resident Evil 5.
