This is a film I am interested in checking out. In general, I have always kept Japanese horror at arm's length (although, as far as Asian cinema is concerned, I do enjoy Studio Ghibli and South Korean films a lot). I have never really "got" them, per se. I love the visuals and imagery, but I've always been less than impressed with the narratives they're built around. Of course, this is a MAJOR generalization to make about an entire country of talented, creative minds, but I haven't had the chance to remedy that perception yet - likewise, too, it can be difficult to know what will be for me and what won't.

I recently bought a manga by Junji Ito (Shiver, which is an anthology) and I have been hoping to spend some time on him in the coming weeks.
