The Nun II marks the eighth installment in The Conjuring Universe and the second film in The Nun series. The film was released to mixed reviews from critics, with some arguing it was an improvement over the original film.

The Nun II continues The Conjuring Universe's steady stream of hits - grossing $268 million worldwide (which is admittedly nearly one-hundred million less than the original film.

Have you seen the film? What did you think think? Better than the last film? How do you think it stacks up with the rest of the Conjuring movies? What are your thoughts on the state of the franchise now?

I didn't think very much of it. It was better than the first, but that doesn't say very much, honestly. I liked some of the Conjuring movies (the first, the second), but the series' good-to-bad ratio has never been in its favor. This one might be among the better ones, but it isn't anything special.

I still haven't seen it yet. There was a time when I honestly cared about The Conjuring Universe. I enjoyed the first Conjuring film, and I really liked Conjuring 2 (it is one of my personal favorite horror films), whereas Annabelle: Creation and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It were both alright.

However, I have lost so much interest in it. You're right - the good-to-bad ratio isn't in its favor. The first Annabelle was bad. The Curse of Llorona (which is retroactively no longer a part of the franchise) was bad. The Nun was mediocre.

I haven't had the energy to watch the third Annabelle and I could see it being awhile before I watch The Nun 2.
