Eli Roth's latest horror film Thanksgiving is a slasher film that follows a small Massachusetts town that is terrorized by a killer in a John Carver mask. The film is based on a fictitious trailer Eli Roth made for the Grindhouse film.

The film has received positive reviews from critics, becoming the most revered of Eli Roth's career and, as of this writing, has grossed nearly 50 million off a 15 million dollar budget. A sequel is in development.

I feel like I have been hearing about Eli Roth making this film for ages and ages. Glad he finally was able to make it, glad people like it, and glad it did well - I haven't seen it yet.

It first appeared as a fake trailer in the Grindhouse double-feature. I remember when they first announced Grindhouse. My friend and I were going to see it, but it wasn't playing anywhere nearby - ended up seeing ... Are We Done Yet? instead. Awful. Still gets me.

Planet Terror and Death Proof weren't great films, but I imagine they would have been a blast to see in theaters.

As for Thanksgiving, I am always happy about a new slasher film. I will definitely check it out when it releases on home video!
