Most Disturbing Graphic Novels?

What are some of the most disturbing graphic novels you can think of? What made them disturbing to you? Was it the imagery itself or the context / implication of it? Bonus Points if you have images (as safe for work as you can).

I can't honestly say at this moment. I am not a big graphic novel reader, *but* I am looking to change that myself and will document the outcome on Nightmare Shift. Currently, I am reading Junji Ito, which I consider a good starting point.
