I watched this today. I liked it. I don't have a review all written out nor do I have a rating I am committed to, but I can say I ended up on the positive side of the spectrum.

Amie Donald is going to be at one of our local cons this year but sadly not the one I go to :( Surprisingly even though she lives in New Zealand...

I felt like M3gan does a good job with the possessed/corrupted doll situation. I've seen and enjoyed the Chucky films (and tv show) but this movie felt like a fresh take. I liked how the film spoke on the need to work through grief rather than pushing it away. The vocal effects were perfect for me, too. Flat and robatic at times with vocal glitches. Perfect lol

It is a fun film. Is it the type of film you'd think deservedly has a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, not really (although that scoring is more about them not having something bad to say rather than that people think it's a 90/100 or something). It's alright. You know that Child's Play movie they made recently? It's like that. A futuristic / modernized Doll killer movie. This one though, I think hits a little better because it is a little more original / unique from the formula.

I decided to finally watch M3GAN. For the most part, I enjoyed it. It was a fun escapist type film, I'd concur with what Bryan said about how it is a lot like the new Child's Play remake, but with ultimately better results overall. Allison Williams is a good actress who I would like to see more of in horror, whereas everyone else does pretty well also - particularly M3gan herself.
