Never heard of this, but I feel like I have seen the characters a bunch over the years. What is it?

It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the mysteries. The gun-battles started to get on my nerves a little bit. Some of the characters were fun. It was a good start to a series and a memorable visual novel (the first I'd ever played on consoles, actually).
