The Evil Within 2 takes what worked with The Evil Within and more or less improves on it in every way imaginable. It still isn't perfect - it isn't as strong as the best Resident Evil videogame, but I will be damned if it wasn't fun and has me crossing my fingers for a third videogame.
So, by now, you have most likely heard about Insomniac being the subject of a recent leak. Aside from some more serious stuff (people's private information, etc.), it has also led to nearly a decade's worth of their release schedule being released. What are your thoughts on their current lineup...
I went ahead and checked this film out because Nick would always recommend it. I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur of South Korean cinema, but I am willing to give things a go.
I dug this film. It isn't a horror film exactly, but more so a crime-thriller, revenge film. It's tough...
I remember I enjoyed the first Strangers film for what it was. I never caught the second film. I can't say I am necessarily excited about this new film. At the same time, I do think it is neat that they are doing all three films back-to-back-to-back. In general, wait time is a chore, and it is...
The film ended up postponed. I am hoping that the box-office marketplace has longer to return to normalcy, and thus, longer for Dune to build momentum. I feel like, in some ways, we lucked into Dune II being given the go ahead. I am hoping it can be a series that endures.
You were right. The film did do really well at the box-office. You underestimated it though, as did many. The film is currently just shy of 300 million worldwide. You have to think that Five Nights 2 and 3 are all but paid for.
This film is currently rocking (by far) one of the highest Rotten Tomatoes scores of the entire franchise. Crazy. Haven't seen it. I checked off around Saw IV, and never really picked back up on it. I did see Spiral, however, and thought it was mid, which might be above-average for the franchise.
I still haven't seen this. I have no doubt it will be good, given the director and the pedigree of those involved, but it can be daunted to sit down for a three hour film. I look forward to it though. I am almost never disappointed with Scorsese.
Agreed. I do believe that The Evil Within 2 was superior in nearly every way. I would love if they made an Evil Within 3, but it does seem like Ghostwire Tokyo was fairly close to what that would have been.
