Looks fun. I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I am happy that Matthew Lillard is finally involved in another horror film (or film in general, for that matter).
What are some examples of the modern Scream Queen in today's entertainment industry? Do they exist or is it something that died away in the 90s? I would argue Anya Taylor-Joy, Mia Goth, and Jenna Ortega are amongst the closest contenders.
It was solid. It had a fair amount of glitches on launch, but not a damning amount. It scratched a Resident Evil itch when Capcom wasn't doing it. For what it is, it is very good and memorable in its own right - a more modern horror classic. Flawed, just like the rest of them.
I think, rather than saying it was a great film, I merely conclude it was a way to let Freddy go out with a little dignity after all the damage (fun damage, but damage no less) done to him over the years.
Damn good film. One of the best South Korean films I've ever seen (not that bold of a statement). Let's up the ante, one of the best revenge flicks I've ever seen. Period.
