SignUp Now!Gotta love Keanu, he's one of the few actors/actresses who do their own stunts, gun included. I'm excited for this one because it's supposed to branch out and explore more of John's backstory before the first film whilst further building on the world created already.I still haven't watched the third film, but I liked the first one a fair bit, and really liked the second. They're amongst the best gun style action movies on the market.
I am very happy Keanu Reeves found John Wick. As a person, he has always seemed very likable, but as an actor, ... I'll admit he's limited, but he is perfect for John Wick.Gotta love Keanu, he's one of the few actors/actresses who do their own stunts, gun included. You could definitely get that vibe from watching him in John Constantine and Speed among others.I am very happy Keanu Reeves found John Wick. As a person, he has always seemed very likable, but as an actor, ... I'll admit he's limited, but he is perfect for John Wick.
I want him to have a second craft at John Constantine though. You could definitely get that vibe from watching him in John Constantine and Speed among others.
Might get lucky with James Gunn heading the DCU now. He seems to want to give some of the other DC heroes and villains a fair shake. John Constantine has been in some great animated films to date if you're interested.I want him to have a second craft at John Constantine though.
I think that's the plan. They were supposed to have a Continental series in development. They do have the Ballerina in production right now which is supposed to have Ana de Armas in the lead role; but, she's stated a desire to be done with action films after it finishes filming.John Wick's fun. I wouldn't mind if they keep shelling them out for a little while longer, and then, maybe kick-off a new franchise lead once Keanu's ready to step down.
The worry I have with anything after John Wick is exactly that. I want somebody who can go "all in" as a follow-up to John Wick, and I fear that, if the Continental series flops and the Ballerina film misfires (which I believe they both have a likelihood of doing), we may not get a second crack at it, or they might mistake it as audiences not caring about the "Wick world".Might get lucky with James Gunn heading the DCU now. I can believe it. It's going to be the same issue they're facing with Tom Cruise and Mission Impossible. I don't know if anyone else has the charisma to carry the series on after he retires, though I feel they could do a sequel where he trains the protege aiming to take over. The worry I have with anything after John Wick is exactly that. Title: John Wick: Chapter Four
Director: Chad Stahelski
Writer: Shay Hatten, Michael Finch
Brief Summary: "John Wick uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes."
The rumor is that they can end the saga with this film; but, the director has ideas floating on how to continue with a fifth.I wonder if this will be the last film. I'd thought they said they were filming Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back before Covid.
I would think the money it has made might help wiggle a few more ideas loose as well. The rumor is that they can end the saga with this film; but, the director has ideas floating on how to continue with a fifth.
As a policy, I find myself almost always against a prequel to anything, ever. I think I have been burned too many times by subpar writing and a creator's incessant desire to connect dots retroactively. The best example I can think of for an offender is George Lucas and the Star Wars prequels. For that reason, I am always for finding a way to bring a series forward, not backward.I'd love for John Wick to be done. It was given an ending with this film. Leave it alone and explore more of the Wickverse, for lack of a better term. How did things evolve to what they are? Where did they originate from? Who is the family that adopted Wick? Etc.
Well, I don't blame you; but, they can do a John Wick prequel without even having to reference or use John as a character in it.As a policy, I find myself almost always against a prequel to anything, ever.
