Fun Fact: This was the very first Thread published on Dustjacket.net.
It is one of the simplest, easiest questions to both ask and answer, what are you currently reading?

For me, at the moment, I am reading The Widow's Son, a novelette submitted (and accepted) into Mishmashers Publishing's horror anthology, written by Graves Asher. Afterward, I am not sure what I will read. I know I need to read John Dies at the End and The Scarlet Gospel, two novels I have had in my queue for the longest time period, and so, maybe them!

I'm currently 'reading' three books right now, one at work and one at home. At home, I'm reading The Eye of the World (The Wheel of Time, Book One) by Robert Jordan. At work, I'm reading The Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov and Elevator Pitch by Linwood Barclay.

As a courtesy, I have made specific sections for each book for you in the Reviews section.

Here's the section for The Eye of the World.
Here's the section for The Foundation.
Here's the section for Elevator Pitch.

After you've read them, I hope you will consider leaving a rating for the books and what you thought about them. The reviews help us fill out our database, a little like planting a seed, hoping it will one day grow to a big, strong tree with many branches.

I'd be happy to try, it might encourage me to spend more time reading and less time procrastinating on them. My to-read list continues to grow without me making much progress through it.

I understand that. It's a lot of the appeal of Dustjacket, in fact. It encourages feeding ones' creative side! I know it has helped me stay more consistent so far. We've developed ways for it to act as a "log," as well, where readers can keep track of all the books they've read in a neat, tidy list. I hope to sit down and write out all the features shortly as they develop.

I'll give it my best go. I tend to view literature reviews akin to movie reviews, I'd rather someone watch or read and formulate their own thoughts and opinions on it. I might like something, and I tend to, that others might hate.

Oh, we don't expect essays or anything that. It's a log, more than anything. Less than a paragraph, even, would suffice. Just a general "liked it" / "sucked" comment, haha.

I like critics and reviews. All it is, really, is people sharing what they think. I don't think it has to be an either or when it comes to wanting to hear someone's thoughts and having your own. :)

I took a break to focus on our presidential elections here. I don't like to be distracted whenever that I am reading a particular book that I like.

I've started reading the Deadman Wonderland manga series. I enjoy it so far (for what it is).

Soon to be finished with Dag Solstads Shyness and dignity. Really been enjoying it, but I'm struggling to pick which book to read next

Finished Shyness and dignity, now I'm moving on to Joyce's Dubliners. Looking forward to it!
