Video game remakes

How do you feel about video game remakes?

Are you for or against?

Are there any good examples?

I'm for them. Preferably, I would rather it be a reasonably priced remake, not a full-fledged, new retail release, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

As long as there are less changes, I have nothing against video games remakes. My issue is when the changes become too obvious.

I think they can be really great ways of replaying games, Dead Space is a great example of that. But they can also ruin the game, Warcraft 3 shows us that.

Like with movie remakes, we need balance for them. Celebrate what once was, but don't let it take the reins over the 'now'. That's a balance I feel is struck better with videogames than movies, but is slowly worsening.

Even the ones that are done well are just being done to get some cash. Video games are a business.
