I have a lot of love for the Prince of Persia franchise. As a matter of fact, I would dare say it might be my favorite videogame series ever (not necessarily because I think it has the best videogames ever made contained within it - though I believe Warrior Within and Sands of Time can hang).
Like you prefaced in the title, fans have waited thirteen-something years for a new Prince of Persia. That remake that was announced dangled the carrot and never delivered (but I am still trying to hold out hope for that).
This doesn't look like a major Triple AAA title, per se, but I am still excited for it. The character model is met with skepticism, but open-mindedness, same with the shown gameplay, but I did enjoy how fluid the animations looked. I know the developers that made Rayman Legends made this, and if they had even half the resources Rayman had / half the dedication and creativity, we could be looking at something very special.
I am hoping The Lost Crown leads to The Sands of Times' release (and that Sands of Time's remake is improved from what we last saw), and it leads to further, sooner entries.
