Cheat sheets

Do you use cheat sheets? Also called cheat guides? What is your opinion on them? Do you feel they shouldn’t be used? Or are there certain instances where it would be okay?
I have only used them when we are really stuck. Especially playing foreign games that are lost in translation. One that comes to mind is a Hidden Object game we played. It wanted us to find a ruby. We spent awhile trying to figure it out. Turns out it was actually a BLUE gem; not red.

I will always have fond memories of murder sprees on Grand Theft Auto with all the different cheat codes. In this case, it looks like you mean walkthroughs, those I only use to pick up any leftover collectibles I may have.
